Global Haemophilia Advocacy Leadership Summit

James Munn, RN and AFFIRM Faculty and Ed Kuebler, SURO & AFFIRM Global Programs Manager attended the Global Haemophilia Advocacy Leadership Summit (GHAL) as Advisers. They presented a poster on the International AFFIRM Program.
At this year’s Summit, we saw engaging presentations from leading thought leaders in the hemophilia field, including Hans-Georg Eichler (Senior Medical Officer, European Medicines Agency), Amanda Bok (CEO, European Haemophilia Consortium), Declan Noone (President, European Haemophilia Consortium) and Professor Bengt Jönsson (Professor Emeritus of Health Economics, Stockholm School of Economics). Key learnings included how to understand different stakeholders’ perspectives on access barriers and how to liaise with key players to negotiate treatment access, based on their personality type. We hope you found the speaker and workshop sessions useful and engaging – we encourage you to use the skills and tools introduced during these sessions when negotiating for better access in your country. The GHAL Summit is a supporter of the International AFFIRM Program for the past 4 years. Several of our SURO and AFFIRM Grads have attended the Summit by being selected by their local foundation as representatives.
